How to Deactivate or Delete a Plugin in WordPress?

If your plugin is not in use or you want to deactivate it, you can do this from the WordPress admin dashboard or also you can delete if you're not using it, just the follow the steps below.
Step 1: Login at your WordPress admin dashboard
Step 2: At the dashboard menu just hover the mouse over Plugins section and click Installed Plugins
Step 3: If you to want to deactivate the Hello Dolly plugin in this case, just click at Deactivate link, which is at the bottom of the Hello Dolly text.
How to delete a plugin in WordPress?
Once a plugin is deactivated you can find the delete option.
Go to the Installed Plugins list and just click on the Delete link, which is under the plugin name. It will ask you for confirmation just press OK and the plugin will be removed.
